It's just what they told me on their Facebook page when I asked about it. But I'm just some random person on the internet, who knows if what I'm saying is true or not. They told me that those kits were found unsold in a factory and that they have nothing to do with them or their pricing. Yes they are new old stock and not reissues. And no, I don't mean those new old stock that's been found for the old titan class figures. They've been all over the place with their prices lately. Assuming it's not some kind of stupid price. I'll probably get this kit as I like Scourge as it is but this changes a few things just enough to be worth it. Watch the new teaser trailer for Transformers: RiseOfTheBeasts.Buy or Rent Transformers: Rise of the Beasts today. The "Lockdown" look just wasn't good for this mold. The brighter colors contrast the darker shades of the base figure quite nicely. They even made the forearms nice a bulky as well. But this kit seems to "fix" the "issue" with thigh upgrades and shinguards.

LIke they're out of 00 Gundam or something. It's not Hasbro's normal design style but they all have it. The legs on all the Terrorcons have been so oddly thin. I mean there's still one of those pieces in here but it's just a small thing that looks like it can be fairly well hidden in the "palm" of that one hand and not the entire kit like the Beast Wars or the SS86/BB multi-kits. They actually addressed some of the major issues with this figure instead of just putting in a bunch of single things from that one time so you can recreate that one scene that nobody ever uses. This is one of the better kits they've done in the past few years. It ended up being used for Leadfoot's dog instead.I don't actually hate this kit. Steeljaw was used as an early working name for Dark of the Moon Que/Wheeljack.Steeljaw's product description on Hasbro Toy Shop's website uses the stock copy for Autobots, describing him fighting Decepticons.Ultimately, this product was never officially revealed or solicited for release. Some reports from Toy Fair 2014 suggested the existence of a Dino Sparkers toy featuring Lockdown, which the aforementioned leak suggests would have featured a 'Wolf' as the mount.A preliminary name for the Steeljaws seems to have been Wolves, appearing on a Topps trading card and in toy listings leaked via Hasbro's customer service website. The exact same pair of Steeljaws as above was also released as a separate two-pack, so if you somehow still have money to spare, you can surround your Lockdown with a total of four Steeljaws!
